As part of a team serving the oldest adults in our society, we are all the front-line workers who have assumed tremendous responsibility during this pandemic. Together, we try to use the wisest possible strategies to help the elders in our care stay protected, while still fully thriving. You are now part of that effort. It is vital work. At Summit View, we see all elders as “half-full” and capable of being replenished – not “half-empty” and simply deteriorating. Watch this video and you will get a good understanding of how it all works together.
To accomplish what we need to in serving the elders in our care, working together as a team is critical. The Covid-19 Virus requires some unique infection control procedures that help prevent transmission.
It is vital that we keep the details of resident and co-workers lives confidential. That includes not sharing information with anyone outside of Summit View unless specifically asked to, not sharing specific details with friends, and never posting pictures or information on social media. To do that requires a professional demeanor and interactions, a professional level of reliability and dependability, and a professional level of knowledge, competency, and responsibility.
